There are hats—and then there are hats with personality.

The Jaunty Hat is about that little tilt of confidence that can change everything. The brim sweeps across the face, the color refuses to behave quietly, and the figure seems completely aware of the effect they are having without ever needing to look at us.

I wanted this painting to feel playful, stylish, and just a little mischievous. The electric yellow, brilliant red, and turquoise flowers dance against the black background, turning a simple portrait into a celebration of individuality.

Because a jaunty hat isn’t really about covering your head.

It’s about tipping it at the world and saying, “Yes, I know exactly what I’m doing.”
