The View was painted from nature, from the top of the hill. I looked over a typical New Mexican desert landscape with cacti, short trees, and a thin river that had not yet dried up. I wanted to capture the vastness and quiet beauty of this place. To me, this painting reflects the peaceful stillness and unique character of the New Mexico desert.
