WATCHING OVER US (hawk with a blanket of stars) An original mixed-media artwork, inspired by a mystical experience and the wonder of nature. The hawk, a great bird that seems to follow me in profound ways through my life.
This is part of a long-running series that utilizes the diversity of nature and the symbolism that the artist has felt since childhood, watching birds connect heaven and earth. The collage materials are fragments of original printmaking. The colors shift and change with the quality and direction of the light source, with the use of iridescent interference colors.
