What Awaits Us

Although some viewers might see the black, white and grey color palette of this painting and read the title, they might think that this piece feels very ominous.

But for me, this couldn’t feel further from the truth — this painting feels so romantic to me. As I created it, I felt so grateful and inspired by the love I share with my partner of 11 years. The title (and poem I wrote that corresponds with it) speaks to the feeling of deep and destined love that stands the test of time and beyond. This painting proclaims that no matter what awaits us after this life, I know that we’ll be brought together in whatever happens next.
