This painting captures the feeling of standing before something greater than ourselves.

Garibaldi Lake stretches quietly between the mountains, while the small figure at the edge stands with open arms—surrounded by a landscape that feels vast, powerful, and almost limitless.

For me, the figure represents a moment of freedom: when we pause, breathe, and allow ourselves to simply be present. The mountains remind us of our own smallness, while the open lake becomes a space of possibility.

Where I Feel Free is not only a painting of Garibaldi Lake. It is about that rare feeling of being completely present—when nature becomes bigger than our worries and, for a moment, we feel truly free.
