Where She Could Simply Be

Oil and mixed media on canvas.

12x12x1.50"

Surrounded by flowers and soft afternoon light, she rests with her eyes closed, completely at ease. There is a feeling of surrender in her posture; a gentle feeling that comes from no longer needing to hold everything together.

The garden seems to gather around her, creating a little world where she can breathe, soften, and simply exist.

A painting about the quiet freedom of finding a place where nothing is being asked of you.
