This piece is based on 1 Corinthians 13. It’s drawn from my understanding of what love should look like, using my great-grandparents as the reference. What always stood out to me was that they placed two things above everything else: their Bible and each other. I wanted the painting to reflect that priority, love as commitment, patience, and shared belief, rather than something performative or idealized
