Ink and sharpie marker on watercolour paper.
9x12"
120 bpm is part of series of drawings that depict queer characters in films that I love, who were not comfortable with their sexuality. Usually a moment when they fall in love. Drawn with ink and sharpie marker on 9x12 inch watercolour paper.
Steve Khan has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Canada and the US, and more recently in Europe. He is also a graduate from the joint Art and Art History program at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Steve Khan’s practice uses dry humour to normalize discussions around sexuality, race and gender. At the very least, to push viewers to question what they are laughing at.
He works primarily in portraiture using text, drawing and video.
