The call to resist is not new to us. If anything, it’s a community tradition for black people. We have been called to resist since we first came to the United States and subsequently, as we have continued to spread throughout the world. It seems as if, especially given recent events, that the rest of the world is finally waking up to understand the ugliness that we have been enduring for centuries on this planet. And while they may flail, worry, and collapse under the weight of that ugliness, the call for us black people remains the same: RESIST. Only three copies of this piece exist.
