The painting is a bold, abstract expressionist take on a bouquet of flowers in a vase. I’ve let the colors explode—vivid yellows, blues, oranges, reds—mixing them into an aggressive, textured background that pulses behind the floral forms. The vase is rendered as a simplified, almost architectural cylinder, its surface broken with shadow and light, giving it a solid, structural presence that anchors the composition.
The flowers themselves are painted with loose, gestural strokes, their petals bursting in blue, white, orange, and lavender, each brushed with a confident swipe that captures their fleeting life and energy. I’m using the juxtaposition of the geometric, almost architectural vase with the free‑flowing abstract flowers to push the expressive tension between order and chaos, structure and spontaneity—exactly the vibe I want in my abstract expressionist work.
