ALLIE is an oil portraiture that comes out of the darkness and into the light. The play on dark and light provides a spotlight on the portrait figure, resulting in dramatic effect and impact. Through the employment of sharply controlled chiaroscuro, the figure is placed front and centre in juxtaposition to a background of darkness, to distinguish and set apart the figure itself. Beyond the darkness lies a bright and beautiful world residing in tenebristic illumination.
