This artwork reflects the deep and unshakable connection I have to Batroun, my first home. The harbor, bathed in the warmth of the setting sun, holds memories that are woven into the very fabric of my being. The boats gently resting on the water symbolize the life I once lived there - Simple, peaceful, and full of meaning. Yet, behind the beauty of this scene, there’s an overwhelming sense of heartache. I am filled with an intense desire to return, to walk along these shores once again, but I am bound by personal struggles that keep me away. The burning feeling inside me is unbearable, knowing that the place where I feel most at peace is out of reach. This artwork is more than just a visual; it’s a vessel for the sorrow and longing that live within me. It’s my way of staying connected to Batroun, even when the reality of distance feels impossible to overcome. My heart remains anchored there, waiting for the day I can return.
