From the artist:Between Reeds and Sky is inspired by Rattray Marsh Conservation Area in Mississauga, where winding boardwalks trace a path through delicate wetland. An urban refuge not only for animal and bird species - but also for me - as I've walked these paths countless hours, finding rest and a return to self amid the busy pace of the surrounding city. The painting reflects this intimate relationship, capturing the marsh as both a living ecosystem and a deeply personal place of restoration.
