Blush & Bloom captures the joy and colour of Ottawa’s beloved Tulip Festival at Dow’s Lake, just steps from my studio. Inspired by my favourite time of year, this expressive floral painting celebrates the first feeling of spring — soft sunlight, fresh blooms, and the vibrant energy that fills the city each May. Painted in layered shades of blush pink, peach, coral, and golden yellow, the tulips are intentionally modern, loose and painterly. The painting is varnished with a satin glaze adding to the depth and glow of the foliage.
