Blush Iris

The first of a small series of blush-coloured irises I painted in oil paint, based on a cluster of them that I spotted in my neighbourhood last spring.
The square format of the canvas creates a captive composition with the contrasting curvy lines of the iris. This piece would bring a sensual elegance to any room.
