Catalyst for Social Change Development uses Shin Noodle paper to investigate what gets built when migration forces structural shifts, the new systems, institutions, and ways of being that emerge from displacement. It's part of my 2024 series looking at how my Jamaican family's migrations didn't just blend cultures, but fundamentally changed the landscape they moved through and the generations that followed. I made this with acrylic paint, Shin Noodle paper, pencil, and acrylic marker, asking: what new foundations do we lay? What resistance do we face? What legacies ripple forward through time?
