Acrylic on canvas.

The piece draws inspiration from images of subatomic particles spiraling in a cloud chamber, a scientific process that reveals invisible trajectories. I translated this notion of hidden movement into the painting by emphasizing curved shapes beneath the paste, selectively highlighting them in black to bring their fluid motion to the surface. A staining technique using diluted brass color separates into its component pigments—Phthalo Green and Iron Oxide coated mica particles—adding subtle variations in tone and texture that evoke the complexity of these tracks. Cloud Chamber focuses on the balance between concealment and revelation, motion and stillness. It invites viewers to consider the unseen forces that shape form and space, reflecting a dialogue between scientific phenomena and artistic interpretation. The work is a study in layered presence, where abstract shapes pulse beneath vibrant color fields, embodying both energy and depth.
