Built from an autumn palette of browns, ochres, and black, Cocoon gathers its energy inward. A central form anchors the composition, holding the surrounding marks in tension as layers are built, scraped back, and released.

This piece reflects the pull to circle in and take cover for a while. Not as escape, but as repair. The surface carries the evidence of that pause, the kind of stillness that allows something new to form before it’s ready to be seen.
