This lively flock of chickens was painted using watercolour and coloured inks on paper, enhanced with a sprinkling of salt. The technique creates a natural feather-like texture and brings out vibrant, unexpected details in each bird. Every chicken emerges with its personality, colourful, expressive, and full of life.

Chickens are a humble, familiar subject, deeply connected to rural family life. For many, they evoke memories of childhood, simplicity, and warmth. I find great joy in painting them, and I hope that energy and affection come through to the viewer.
