Countryside

Collage, oil, print, painted papers on canvas.

60x48x1.50"

Countryside, mixed media diptych on canvas, 60”x48”. This multimedia diptych on canvas combines oil painting with fragmented linocuts. The landscape represents the countryside mixing together both the natural environment, cypress trees and blowing blue flags in the wind. The mix of the Flags represents both the Andalucían Flag with its bold stripes of green and white and the American Flag with its many stripes of red and white. The diptych spans both places being, familiar and unfamiliar.
