Crimson Imperium

A broad expanse of fractured silver, threaded with gold, crosses Crimson Imperium. Beneath its irregular edge, deep crimson and burgundy unfold in fluid, intricate passages, while an open ivory field offers a quieter counterpoint to the densely textured centre.

The composition holds a tension between dominance and emergence. Silver commands the surface, yet the crimson asserts itself along the margins, its saturated colour giving it a presence beyond its proportion. This relationship lends the work its particular intensity: an imposing centre continually challenged by what moves beneath it.
