The inspiration of this piece comes from the layers everyone has, masks we wear, that beauty is only skin deep.
The true self-beautiful women laying next to you in bed.
The truth-the spirit we inhabit within.
And the aura-the truth of someone’s soul yet to be discovered.
The women is painted on a separate wood panel breaking the 2d and almost coming out of the painting with constructed brackets. With an abstract background and a window peering out into the rain. And the sound of the rain hitting the glass. The women’s eyes are mirrors giving an eerie lifelike movement to the piece. Which was inspired by silence of the lambs-buffalo bills method to give a lifeless person the illusion of life.
