For those who are battling all alone in their world of anxiety and sadness, you are never, ever alone. This piece represents the complicated emotional world of those who struggle with anxiety, depression, or simply find it difficult to express what they feel.



The many layers of pink represent emotions that build upon one another—fear, sadness, overwhelm, loneliness, hope, uncertainty, and moments of peace. Some emotions are visible and easy to understand, while others are buried beneath the surface.



The irregular textures symbolize the messiness of emotions. When you are struggling internally, your feelings may not come one at a time or make perfect sense. They can overlap, change suddenly, or become difficult to put into words.

Yet, the softness of the pink suggests that there is still tenderness within the struggle. Even when you feel overwhelmed by what is happening inside of you, there can still be small moments of calm, hope, and healing hidden among the difficult emotions.



She is the reminder that what we see on the outside may only be one layer of what someone is experiencing within. Some feelings are expressed, some are hidden, and some are difficult to understand—even by the person experiencing them. But every layer is part of their story, and none of those feelings make them less worthy of compassion, understanding, or hope.
