…Defeating the evil, with the help of the Firebird, represented by one of its red-colored feathers offered to Prince Ivan, the splendid finale begins with a horn solo, slowly and powerfully.

The theme is repeated, the brass is dominated, placed in the central position in the music. The strings and the woodwind respond to the brass, being always around the main theme.
Together with the brass, the added percussion brings more strength to the Firebird’s motif and, they accelerate towards its conclusion, building to a reviving ending.

The painting captures all aspects of an intense history, marked by the core elements of Stravinsky’s music.
