What started ut as a purely abstract painting, became more "semi-abstract" as I kept recognizing shapes and drips that felt like people on the march. Wanting to keep them undefined, I worked them over so that they weren't over developed. I added burnt metal scraps that I was able to salvage from a horrific fire at a friend's car dealership. "Pilgrimage", was the conclusion.
