Fish in the Air Birds in the Sea

Oil & watercolour on wood panel.

20x24"

Poking around in my family tree I imagined what my Great-great-great-great Grandmother from Europe would look like and feel if she were living through the METOO movement of female empowerment to hold the negative effects of Patriarchy accountable? Would everything seem to have been turned upside down? A situation almost so impossible to imagine it might be as if there were birds swimming in the sea and fish flying through the air???
