The Battleship New Jersey was selected for reactivation in the spring of 1981.  It was towed from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard to Long Beach Naval Shipyard at the end of July 1981 for modernization/reactivation.  In October of 1983 the Battleship came to San Francisco for Fleet Week.  This photo offers a rare perspective from the stern of the Battleship as I framed the vibrant "Old Glory" against the industrial elegance of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. This photo is printed on art paper and it is floating above a 3" mat with a wood frame.
