en Park captures the quiet beauty of a Northern Ontario winter, where snow transforms the forest into a peaceful, almost magical world. The towering evergreens, covered in delicate layers of snow, stand against a soft lavender-blue sky illuminated by gentle winter light.

I began this painting intuitively, without sketches or a predetermined composition. Using acrylic paints, I gradually built the forest through layers of colour, texture, and light. Soft pinks, blues, and whites create the atmosphere, while deep greens give the evergreens their strength and presence.

The snow-covered branches were developed with careful touches of lighter paint, allowing the darker colours beneath to remain visible. The swirling sky introduces movement into an otherwise tranquil landscape.

For me, Frozen Park is about silence, solitude, and the extraordinary beauty found in nature when everything appears to stand still.
