Hanging Out To Dry

Mixed media on canvas.

18x24"

Hanging Out to Dry is a contemporary mixed-media piece that incorporates small wooden clips into layers of acrylic paint, exploring themes of vulnerability, exposure, and the passage of time. Drawing inspiration from the everyday ritual of hanging things out to dry, the work reflects on the emotions, memories, and fragments of ourselves we leave exposed to the world. The wooden clips symbolize our attempts to hold things together, while the surrounding abstraction speaks to the delicate balance between control, release, and the quiet resilience found in letting go.
