HELD BY BLUE is a quieter, more reflective work shaped by layers, fragments, and the weight of color. The blue does not sit lightly on the surface; it surrounds, covers, and holds the painting together, while metallic and warmer passages remain partially visible beneath it.

This piece moves through depth rather than contrast. Its atmosphere comes from what is hidden, softened, and interrupted, creating a sense of stillness with tension beneath the surface. I wanted the painting to feel contained, but not closed, as if something is being protected, buried, or gently kept in place.
