I CHiLL - #265

Acrylic and mixed media on on stretched canvas.

21x21x1.50"

This painting features the word "CHILL!" prominently centered against a heavily textured background. The texture has a rough, almost icy or frosted surface quality, created with thick layers of paint and medium, creating a tactile, three-dimensional effect.
The letters of the word are carved or etched out of the textured surface, with the "I" standing out adding emphasis and visual interest.
The overall composition is minimalistic yet striking, with a strong contrast between the smoothness of the carved letters and the rugged background.
The texture not only provides visual depth but also evokes a sensory experience, making the viewer almost feel the chill suggested by the text. The emphasis on the letter symbol 'i' follows the 'Personhood' Theme that is being established in Kearns' recent Series of works.
