Ice Skaters is a 30 x 30 inch acrylic on canvas. The painting plays with layers of gray and muted blue, broken by off-white and black accents. Horizontal strokes, broad but uneven, create texture and movement. I worked by pushing and pulling the paint, letting shapes emerge and disappear. The effect reminded me of light reflecting on ice, with fleeting forms like skaters appearing briefly before fading away. This piece explores the balance between organic flow and structured lines through a weathered surface.
