Ideas of Back Home is from my 2024 series, where I've been researching my family history and learning about my Jamaican ancestors, their stories, their migrations, and what they carried with them. I made this with acrylic paint and mixed media (pencil), trying to capture what "back home" means, looks and feels like across generations.
