Beeswax, damar resin, dry pigment and shellac on cradled wood panel.

30x40x1"

Inspired by Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight," this piece emerges from the raw terrain of heartbreak, anger, and disorientation. The surface is veiled in a dense, fog-like layering, where shapes blur and dissolve, echoing the way grief and frustration can cloud our vision. It carries the feeling of being enveloped-swallowed by emotion so thick you can hardly see beyond it. Yet with in the fog, the mind strains to make sense of the shadows, reaching for patterns, filling in blanks, trying to recognize the unrecognizable.
The painting holds that suspended moment of helplessness, adrift in the haze, where the weight of pain is undeniable, yet the search for clarity begins to stir.
