Jamaican Flux is about movement; the constant flow of energy, people, and stories across borders. It's part of my 2024 series exploring my family history and what my Jamaican ancestors' migrations mean for us. I made this piece with acrylic paint, pencil, and marker, layering personal stories with the bigger picture of diaspora. As I worked, I kept asking: what stays with us when we migrate? What changes? What do we hold onto?
