This is inspired by the Japanese art of “kintsugi”. The ideology of of taking time to let the healing work be done so we are proud of our flaws. Seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary. To showcase and treasure what was once ordinary and broken, to transform into something unique and healed and beautiful. This is 3 of 3 of the proper copper series. Using modeling paste to sculpt the textures and using science to create reactions and weathering with patina on the metallic elements. And mending the cracks with gold as per the custom of kintsugi
