Mango Lassi & Verve

Mixed media - acrylic, spray paint, watercolor on canvas.

18x24x1"

Mango Lassi & Verve is a vibrant mixed-media piece that pays homage to my South Asian roots, exploring the intersection of cultural identity, nostalgia, and belonging. Through vivid colours, expressive spray paint, and layered abstraction, the work reflects the richness of cultural traditions and the evolving sense of self shaped by living across different continents. Drawing on fragments of memory, familiar flavors, and experiences of cultural transition, the piece celebrates the beauty and contradictions of carrying multiple places within us. It considers how our identities are continually reimagined through the cultures we inherit, the places we inhabit, and the memories we carry forward.
