Lights along San Francisco’s Mission Creek Channel are transformed into flowing ribbons of light in this abstract photographic light painting. Using a digital camera with the shutter held open, I moved the camera horizontally during the exposure, stretching the lights and their reflections across the frame.

The result is a dynamic composition of luminous lines, dark water, and subtle reflections—a familiar San Francisco waterfront scene transformed into an almost abstract study of light, motion, and color.

Photographic Process: Long-exposure digital photography with intentional horizontal camera movement.
