Cannonball depicts a polar bear plunging into the water with a huge splash, aka cannonball style. I am mesmerized by polar bear ability to play under harshest weather conditions. They are great swimmers and frequently enjoy their solitary swims.
The painting is completed in black and while in black India ink and stylized to include various drips and splashes as well as bubbles and water reflections and distortions to create a fairy tale like feel that draws the eye and does not let it go switching from detail to detail around the painting.
