Mixed media on aluminum.

47x52"

This piece came from a place of uncertainty—those moments when you’re not sure if what you’re feeling is your own, or if you’ve somehow stepped into someone else’s world, someone else’s longing. The title itself, On the Edge of Someone Else’s Dream, is about that blurred line between presence and disconnection, between being seen and simply being there.
I used mixed media on aluminum to explore those tensions. Aluminum is hard and reflective, almost indifferent. It pushes back. But when you layer into it—scrape, paint, build texture—it starts to hold emotion in an unexpected way. That became important for this work: taking something cold and making it resonate.
The abstract composition was a conscious choice. I didn’t want it to tell a literal story. I wanted it to feel like the edge of a thought, or the moment before waking. In the middle of all that abstraction are two figures, loosely intertwined—not clearly defined, but definitely present. They could be embracing, they could be pulling away. That ambiguity is the point. It reflects the complexity of human connection—intimate, confusing, sometimes beautiful, sometimes not quite real.

Ready to hang.
