The Arctic biome is found between the edge of the boreal forest and the ice caps of the Arctic Ocean. Tundra ecosystems contain various terrain from broad lowlands to huge mountains being home to many animal species and a vast array of plant life. When summer comes the plant life explodes into a rainbow carpet stretching as far as the eye can see.
