This painting celebrates the energy of a beginning: the moment when colour, movement, and possibility come together before a clear path has formed. Deep burgundy, turquoise, gold, and orange create bold fields of colour, while purple lines and smaller bursts seem to travel across and between them. I see these marks as signs of life and connection—unexpected forms emerging from a lively, changing world.

I built the composition through layers of acrylic, allowing the colours to meet, overlap, and remain visible beside one another. Broad vertical passages establish its rhythm; loose, branching strokes and bright touches bring movement across the surface. I followed the painting intuitively, responding to each colour and mark as it appeared. Premier holds the excitement of a first step: open, spontaneous, and full of possibilities still waiting to unfold.
