PRIDE'S GUARDIAN is an artwork that explores the scratchboard medium with sharp tools carved into a black ink surface to unearth a white clay layer beneath, that has then been further enhanced with colourizations in India ink . Stippling, hatching and removal of portions of the black ink surface, reveals and highlights textures, shapes and 3 dimensional visuals of the regal image of a lion king.
