This painting explores the quiet tension between stillness and movement.

The water is intentionally calm and almost silent, creating a sense of peace and openness. Against that stillness, I introduced dramatic touches of gold—bold, luminous, and expressive.

The gold represents the energy within a quiet moment..the way sunlight can transform a peaceful landscape and make it feel alive. I wanted the contrast to remind us that calmness does not mean the absence of emotion or energy. Sometimes, the most powerful moments are found within stillness.

For me, this painting is about finding drama without losing serenity—where light, colour, and texture come together to create a moment that feels both peaceful and powerful.

It is nature not as we simply see it, but as we feel it.
