Shards - Tiva

Ink, make-up, glass shards, copper wire on stretched canvas.

Working with my daughter Tiva's smashed tea set and Tiva's make-up, in this this work I try to unravel causes and the consequences. The abstract marks, made primarily with eye-shadow and rouge, suggest an unknown land mapped out and charted as if to gain some insight into the undivulged. A small bowl, standing for the mother, pours into the large bowl of the daughter an endless narrow stream of red love.
