Acrylic on cradled birchwood.

24x8"

I passed this area as I was driving to a Glamour Lake for pleinair painting in Haliburton (Ontario) in summer, and I wanted to stop - but it seemed unsafe, so I kept going…

It was the algae, shimmering on the surface of the water that attracted me to it in the first place.

On the way back, I pulled over…but with all the trucks whizzing past, I didn’t dare get out, & took a few photos from the car.
Painted on gallery wood panel.
