This painting I specifically wanted to keep in the orange tones, but an orange with a depth and richness to it. I wanted to have some darks in the work, but not too much. And I wanted some light areas in the work, too, but not a big expanse of color, so I decided to highlight the round shapes on the upper right hand side of the piece.
