In the various steps of creating her paintings, Tamara both embraces and creates chaos and then works within it to find patterns and take control. Her pieces have the wildness of abstract painting contained within the meticulous construct of the assemblage. One of her goals as an artist is to create art that provides a visual escape for her viewers – a place to get happily lost in the details.
