THE CROWD is built through repetition, compression, and restless movement. What gives the painting its force is the way circular marks gather across the surface without ever becoming still, creating a sense of density, friction, and collective energy. I wanted the work to feel full and unsettled at the same time, as if presence itself were multiplying across the canvas.

The red, black, and yellow passages intensify that feeling, giving the surface both heat and pressure. Rather than describing a crowd literally, the painting carries the emotional rhythm of one, closeness, noise, overlap, and the loss of empty space.
