The Gardener
Born into the world
unwanted.
UNWANTED.
Moving through it
fractured,
wanting,
wanting,
wanting.
Misunderstood.
Bleeding.
Bleeding others.
Filling the cracks
with gold...
until the spaces grew deeper,
and everything...
echoed.
Too deep to fill.
Too wide to hide.
So somewhere in the hollow,
she planted something small.
A seed.
Then another.
And another.
She birthed a garden,
then a Gardener.
Planting,
tending,
her strange little gardens.
Roots through the fractures.
Flowers through bone.
Growing something beautiful
in places once left alone.
A flower here.
A seedling there.
Small gifts she left behind
for someone, somewhere
to find.
And now, wherever something blooms
from a place it shouldn't grow,
the Gardener has been there.
Leaving something beautiful
in the hollow.
